Director Peter Segal (who helmed Get Smart) is set to direct Grudge Match, an upcoming comedy drama movie about a pair of aging boxing rivals who are coaxed out of retirement to fight one final bout. Tim Kelleher and Doug Ellin are in charge of the script. The film will be starring Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro. There's no official release date yet. Here's the plot synopsis:
Plot:
"The story revolves around retired boxers Billy McGuigan aka The Kid and Henry Sharp aka Razor, two lifelong bitter rivals who are coaxed out of retirement and into the ring for one final grudge match -- 50 years after their last title fight."
So we're going to have a match pitting Robert De Niro vs. Sylvester Stallone? Hell yeah! I can't wait to see the two icons exchanging punches on the ring! Robert De Niro would need to train hard for the film though... Stallone is still as strong as a stallion, but can't say as much about Robert De Niro. Well, I guess it won't be a real boxing movie, rather a comedy...
Anyway, stay tuned with us for more details about the movie Grudge Match.
